Rating: ★
"Y2K" is a misguided attempt to blend nostalgic '90s teen comedy with sci-fi horror that ultimately short-circuits. While it aims to capture the spirit of cult classics like "Batteries Not Included," "Maximum Overdrive," and "Electric Dreams," it fails to generate the charm or thrills of any of them.
